Single varietal Grenache wines are not common but it is widely used for blending. When Grenache is produced as a single varietal wine, it is usually produced as a rosé wine. These wines tend to have fruity flavors like currents & berries and the tannins content is relatively low due to its thin skin. However, single flavors or aromas are hard to identify. Instead, the taste of Grenache can be felt more as a bouquet. When compared to wines like Cabernet Sauvignon, this is one of the distinct features which makes it much different.
